Fake FF certificates: 4 accused officials reply to show-cause notice

Four senior officials in the civil services on Tuesday replied to show-cause notices issued by Public Administration Ministry for using fake freedom fighter’s certificate. The four officials are Health Secretary Niaz Uddin Mia, former Liberation War Affairs Secretary KH Masud Siddiqui, joint-secretary Abul Kashem Talukdar and Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretary KM Amir Hossain. Public Administration Ministry additional secretary M Shahjahan Ali Molla told reporters at the Secretariat that they have received the replies to the show-cause notice from the four officials. He declined to say anything about the explanations the accused officials gave in their replies. He said the next step will be taken after Public Administration Secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury returns from his tour abroad, according to a new agency.
