Fake NSI man arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested a fake member of National Security Intelligence (NSI) and a fake human rights activist in Ghorastand area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Wednesday. The arrestees were identified as Rasel Zahan, 29, son of Boro Jahan of Natun Islampur Nimtala of Chapainawabganj town, and Istiak Ahmed, 23, son of Imtiaj Ahmed of Chaklampur Mia Para of Sadar Upazila. Commander of Chapainawabganj RAB-5 camp Major Kamruzzaman Pavel said being tipped off that the two men had been cheating people, identifying themselves as NSI, DB and CID member and human rights activist respectively for a long time. They also demanded illegal toll from local people of Ghorastand area on Tuesday noon. Based on the information, a team of RAB-5 launched a drive in their houses and arrested them, according to a news agency.
