Fakhruddin greets Karzai for securing release of BRAC man

NEW DELHI, Dec 8 (UNB): Chief Adviser (CA) Fakhruddin Ahmed has deeply appreciated Afghan President Hamid Karzai for securing the release of abducted BRAC employee Noor Islam in Afghanistan.
Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury conveyed the "deep appreciation" to Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Spanta as they are in New Delhi to attend the SAARC Council of Ministers' Meeting.
"We even talked about it yesterday. I'm overjoyed to hear the good news. The Afghan government has helped enormously and deserves our gratitude," Iftekhar said, speaking to the media afterwards.
