Fakhrul among 26 BNP men granted permanent bail

A Dhaka court granted Tuesday permanent bail to 26 BNP leaders and activists including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a police constable killing case, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Hasibul Hoque passed the order after hearing the bail petitions moved by the defense counsel.
The court also allowed permanent bail to BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and Dhaka City BNP secretary Abdus Salam along with Mirza Fakhrul, Barrister Mahbubuddin Khokan and other BNP leaders and activists.
The court fixed July 22 for submitting the investigation report in the case.
