Fakhrul gets admitted to hospital with chest pain

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was hospitalised on Monday morning as he fell sick, report agencies.
He was taken to United Hospital after he complained of chest pain at his Uttara residence, BNP vice-chairman AZM Zahid Hossain said.
He said the BNP secretary general was first kept at the Coronary Care Unit of the hospital under the supervision of cardiovascular specialist Prof NAM Momenuzzaman.
He was later shifted to a cabin around 4:30 pm.
Zahid said Fakhrul's condition is now stable and likely to be released on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, BNP standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, vice chairmen Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Barkatullah Bulu and Abdul Awal Mintoo visited the ailing BNP leader at the hospital.
