Fakhrul off to Singapore for treatment

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir left Dhaka for Singapore on Thursday for receiving medical treatment there.
Fakhrul, along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum and daughter Mirza Safaruh left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 8:30am on the day.
He will receive treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore for various health issues including a blockage in the nerve in his neck.
Earlier, he went to Singapore for treatment after being released from jail in 2015 where the issue in his internal carotid artery was detected.
