Falu gets bail, Rafiqul Islam among 28 face arrest warrant

BNP Chairperson's advisor Mosaddek Ali Falu surrendered before a Dhaka court on Wednesday morning with petition seeking bail in a vandalism case. After hearing the bail petition, judge of Dhaka Senior Special Tribunal Kamrul Hossain Molla granted bail to Falu. Besides, the court issued warrant for arrest of 28 fugitives, including BNP Standing Committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, in the case. The case was filed against 32 leaders and activists of BNP with Mirpur police station on January 28. On April 28, police pressed charges against the 32, including Standing Committee Member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah, joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Falu, BNP Chairperson’s Special Assistant Shamsur Rahman alias Shimul Biswas, Joint Secretary General Amanullah Aman, Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan, central Jubo Dal General Secretary Saiful Islam Nirob and Swechchhasebok Dal President Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and Asifa Ashrafi Papia, according to a news agency.
