Families of victims given Tk 26.8m

The victims of the Spectrum sweater factory mishap in 2005 were given out Tk 26.8 million as donation for their family members. Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Associations (BGMEA) with the cooperation of Inditex, a world leading fashion group, Saturday disbursed the amount under the 'Spectrum Voluntary Relief Fund' at a ceremony at its auditorium. Commerce Minister Faruk Khan was the chief guest in the programme with BGMEA president Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin in the chair. Under the fund, the authority earlier gave Tk 50 million to the family members of the victims of Spectrum sweater factory mishap.
