Family member files case over publisher Bachchu killing

A family member of slain publisher Shahzahan Bachchu has filed a case accusing four unidentified people over the murder of the free-thinking writer in Munshiganj, reports bdnews24.com.
Afsana, second wife of Bishakha Prokashoni owner Bachchu, filed the case with Sirajdikhan thana on Tuesday, officer-in-charge (OC) of the thana Md Abul Kalam said.
Quoting witnesses, police said four assailants on two motorbikes shot Bachchu dead at Kakaldi, his ancestral village, on Monday afternoon.
Bachchu received threats from religious extremists for his writings on the social media, people close to Bachchu said.
