FAO workshop for supporting communities in Covid-19 response

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations held a closing workshop for a project titled 'Support to diversification of agriculture for improved nutrition and rural livelihoods i1n selected Covid-19 hotspot zones of Bangladesh' at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Auditorium on Tuesday. Dr. Mohit Kumar De, Director, Crops Wing, Department of Agricultural Extension, presided over the event while Dr. Shaikh Mohammad Bokhtiar, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, was present as the chief guest. Syed Md Alamgir, Principal Scientific Officer, Department of Fisheries, and Paritosh Hajra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, were present as special guests. Nur Ahamed Khondaker, Assistant FAO Representative (Programme) and Officer-in-Charge, FAO Bangladesh, was present as Guest of Honour. Two hundred participants attended the workshop.
