Fareast Islami Life Ins, SSL Wireless sign deal

Fareast Islami Life Insurance Company Limited (FILICL) and SSL Wireless signed an agreement in the city Thursday, said a press release.
FILICL Deputy Managing Director M Mosharraf Hossain and SSL Wireless Managing Director Sayeeful Islam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
Also present in the signing ceremony were FILICL board of directors Chairman Md Nazrul Islam, Managing Director Md Ali Hossain, Executive Committee Chairman M Tajul Islam and Dr Iffat Jahan along with senior executives of both the companies.
Under the agreement, SSL Wireless will provide mobile-based services to the insurance company's policy-holders.
The policy holders of the company will register their mobile numbers and will be benefited by accessing a host of policy related information services from mobile phones from any location of the country at any time of the day or night.
Initially policy-holders will receive reminder of premium due date, premium amount and other primary information in connection with their policies through 6969 short code number.
The MD of SSL Wireless stated that gradually many other services would be provided with this solution.
Mobile banking, premium payment, bill payment, mobile account recharge and other mobile-based services will be available for the FILIC customers, he said.
Occasional greetings and birthday wishes can also be sent using this solution to build customer loyalty, he added.
The agreement was considered a benchmark in M-Insurance service.
