Fareast Islami Life nsurance settles Tk 1.50b claims

Fareast Islami Life Insurance Company Limited's insurance claim payment ceremony of Tk 1.50 billion (150 crore) was held on Thursday at the Rajnigandha Auditorium of Fareast Tower, the company's own building on Topkhana Road in the capital, says the company in a statement.
Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam was present as chief guest and Chairman of Bangladesh Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority Dr. M. Mosharraf Hossain was present as special guest.
The meeting was conducted by Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Chairman of the company. Board members Dr. Md. Ibraheem Hossen Khan, Sheikh Mamun Khaled (PhD), Jahurul Islam Chowdhury, Mostafa Jamanul Bahar, Mozammel Haque, CEO of the company Dr. Chowdhury Mohammad Wasiuddin and other senior and midlevel executives were also present.
In the event insurance claims worth Tk 1.50 billion was paid to the policyholders and in the due course Board of Directors would be paying Tk 4.13 billion (413 crore) to settle claims.
