Faridpur, Rangpur reach final round

Faridpur and Rangpur DSAs emerged zonal champions to reach the eight-team final round of the 29th National Cricket Championship eliminating their rivals at separate zonal venues Sunday, reports UNB.
Earlier, Habiganj DSA won the zonal title to book the first seat for the final round.
In the day's zonal final at Faridpur Stadium, hosts Faridpur DSA (112/6) eliminated Shariatpur DSA (110/10) by four wickets to clinch the zonal title.
At Rajshahi Stadium, Rangpur DSA (121/5) defeated Pabna DSA (115/10) by five wickets to lift the zonal crown.
Meanwhile, Dhaka and Barisal DSAs moved into the zonal finals beating their respective rivals Sunday.
At Tangail Stadium, Dhaka DSA (54/1) booked a seat for the zonal final eliminating Sherpur DSA (53/10) by nine wickets. Dhaka will play the zonal final with Mymensingh DSA today (Monday).
At Pirojpur Stadium, Barisal DSA (80/6) beat Barguna DSA (79/10) by four wickets.
Besides, Satkhira and Chandpur DSAs advanced to the zonal semifinals on the day.
Satkhira DSA (100/5) defeated Meherpur DSA (99/10) by five wickets at the Jessore Stadium while Chandpur DSA (122/5) beat Khagrachhari DSA (117/10), also by five wickets at the Noakhali Stadium.
