Farman R Chowdhury has taken over the charge of managing director of ONE Bank Limited recently. Prior to this office, he was the deputy managing director and head of marketing of the same bank.
He joined the bank at its inception in 1999 and was the first manager of its principal branch.
Farman began his career in banking with American Express Bank Limited as a management trainee in 1986 after obtaining MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
During his long 12 years' stint with American Express, Farman held several responsible positions, particularly in the credit and marketing division.
He attended several training programmes and workshops at home and abroad and was certified as a "Credit Risk Management Professional" of American Express Bank.
