Farmer dies of dengue in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Sept 28 (UNB): A farmer died of dengue at Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 40, son of Felu Sheikh of Narandia village in Saltha upazila of the district.
Kamda Prasad Saha, director of Faridpur Medical College Hospital, said Sirajul was admitted to Shibchar Upazila Hospital on Sunday with symptoms of dengue and was shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Monday.
Sirajul died early Saturday while undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
A total of 360 new patients were hospatalised across the country in 24 hours until Friday morning, says Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily update.
