Farmer electrocuted in Sylhet

A farmer was electrocuted at Kalujuri village in Golapganj in Sylhet on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Anu Mostafa Mia, 25, son of Sharof Uddin of the village. Locals said Anu went to his crop land for ploughing and mistook a live, torn-off electric wire laying beside the field for an earth wire. He was electrocuted when he tried to remove the wire around 8:30am. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
