Farmer killed by lightning strike

A farmer was killed when a thunderbolt struck him at Binodpur Moulvikandi village at Shariatpur Sadar upazila on Friday. The dead is Abul Kalam Sheikh, 45, son of late Abdul Kader Sheikh of the village. Police said lightning struck Abul Kalam when he was working at his farmland around 7 am, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body, according to UNB.
