Farmer killed by lightning strike in Satkhira

A farmer was killed and another injured by a lightning strike at Kadpur village in Kalaroa upazila in Satkhira on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Ramzan Ali Sarder, 19, son of Mita Sarder, a resident of the village while the injured as Mizan Sarder, 60, a resident of the village. Police and witnesses said a streak of lightning hit Ramzan and Mizan at about 10:30am when they were working in a paddy field, leaving Ramzan dead on the spot and Mizan injured. Injured Mizan was rushed to a local clinic, according to a news agency.
