Farmers killed in attack by 'indigenous people'

DINAJPUR, Apr 18 (UNB): Two farmers were killed in an attack reportedly by a group of indigenous people at Kachua village in Nababganj Upazila Saturday.
The victims were identified as Emdadul (40), and Azizul (22).
Witnesses said a group of 20 to 25 tribal people attacked three farmers while they were working on a disputed maze field at about 11:30 am. They shot arrows at the farmers, killing the two on the spot.
Meanwhile, police arrested five indigenous people for the murders.
Police said local people had a dispute with the indigenous people over the ownership of 30 bighas of land at No. 9 Kushdaha union.
