FE REPORT
BNP Chairperson's Adviser Zainul Abdin Farroque urged the interim government to provide a clear statement over holding the next national election.
"Carry out necessary reforms quickly. We have no objection," he said while attending a civic dialogue as the chief guest at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital on Saturday.
"We need a clear statement in this regard from you," he said to the interim government.
Zainul Abdin Farroque said after assuming office the Fakhruddin-Moinuddin government did not hand over the power to public representatives following their commitment. Rather, the regime hatched conspiracies jointly with Shiekh Hasina.
He said the ousted Awami League (AL) is now trying to create a political crisis in the country.
"They possess huge amount of money and are involved with large-scale corruptions."
Farroque demanded swift actions against the group of individuals behind the commodity price hike.
"I think it is very easy to identify those who are carrying out these illegal acts."
He said the illegal arms owned by the goons of AL, Jubo League, and Chhatra League are yet to be recovered.
He called upon the government to oust the cohorts of fascist AL from administration.
He urged the interim government to disclose all the treaties signed between Sheikh Hasina and India in the last 16 years.
Bangladesher Biplabi Workers Party General Secretary Saiful Haque, and Labour Party Chairman Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran, among others, were present.
