Farroque gets bail in a defamation case in Sylhet

SYLHET, Apr 11 (UNB): Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque Sunday secured bail in a defamation case filed against him with a local court.
Chief judicial magistrate Mohammad Amir Uddin granted him bail when he appeared before the court in the morning and prayed for bail.
A large number of BNP activists were present on court premises due to arrival of Farroque.
Education affairs secretary of city Awami League Shafiul Alam Nadel on March 16 filed the case against the opposition chief whip as he made some negative remarks against Sajeeb Wajed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
