Faruque, Mohiuddin submit review petitions

At last, the remaining two death-row convicts in the Bangabandhu murder case - Lt Col (sacked) Syed Faruque Rahman and Lt Col (retd) Mohiuddin Ahmed (artillery) - Tuesday submitted their petitions to the apex court for a review of its judgment, reports UNB.
Earlier on January 10, three other condemned former army officers on death row in prison - Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, Bazlul Huda and AKM Mohiuddin (lancer) - petitioned the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court for the review.
Meanwhile, on January 13, the Supreme Court set January 24 for the hearing on the fate-deciding review petitions filed by the condemned killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman against its reaffirmation of death sentences.
