Father chops son to death

RAJBARI, Mar 18 (UNB): A man chopped his minor son to death at Demnapara village in Pangsha Upazila today (Friday).
The ill-fated boy was identified as Shimul, aged about 14 months, son of Majed Mondol of the village.
Police said Majed often used to be locked into altercations with his wife Sima over extreme poverty in their family and treatment of their ailing son.
As a sequel to a conflict, Majed hit Shimul with 'boti', a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot at about 9:30am.
