Father kills son in Comilla

A 2-month-old boy has been strangulated to death allegedly by his father in Sadar Upazila in Comilla district. Police recovered the body of Omar Hossain, son of Monir Hossain, from a dustbin in Alampur village under Sadar Upazila on Friday afternoon. Police said Taslima Akter, daughter of Abu Taher of Alampur village, was married off to Monir Hossain of Bharella village of Burichang Upazila, a few years ago. The couple used to engage in altercations over family disputes since their marriage. On Thursday night, they engaged in a brawl at the house of Abu Taher, father of Taslima Akter. On Friday morning, the inmates of the house found Monir and Omar missing. After a frantic search, the body of Omar was found in a dustbin around 11am. Police suspected that Monir strangled the baby boy to death and dumped the body in the dustbin, according to a news agency.
