Father sent to jail in daughter’s suicide case in city

A Dhaka Court on Saturday sent Shaheen Alam, 48, father of a female student of BRAC University- who committed suicide in city’s Dakkhin Khan area on August 27, to jail for allegedly abetting the suicide, reports BSS.
As Alam was produced before the court, the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case pleaded for keeping the arrestee in jail till the investigation is over. On the other hand, the lawyer of the defendant pleaded for granting his bail.
