Father stabbed by son in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Jan 19 (UNB): A retired police officer, who was stabbed allegedly by his son at Jagannathpur Mondalpara at Birampur municipality Friday, died Sunday.
The victim was identified as Aftab Uddin (60), a former assistant sub-inspector of police and a resident of the area.
Mominul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Birampur thana, said Manik, also joint convener of Upazila unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), locked into an altercation with his father Friday for not providing money for his mother's treatment.
