Father, two daughters killed in road accident

CHITTAGONG, June 16: Three persons including two school children were killed as a truck hit the auto-rickshaw carrying them in Sitakunda area today.
The deceased are: Dr Mohd Jahangir, his daughter Anannya and Raojatul Jannat. Anannya and Jannat were students of class three in a local primary school.
SI Shyamol Dey of Baro Aulia police check post said a truck hit the auto-rickshaw when Dr Jahangir was taking them to school from Jora Amtal area under Sitakunda police station at around 10.30 am.
Anannya died on the spot while others were declared dead by doctors in a local hospital. The police detained the truck but the driver and assistant of the truck managed to flee.
