Fazilatunnesa inspired Nation in various movements: President

President M Zillur Rahman Monday said the new generation needs to be informed about the immense contributions of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa, wife of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, to the nation-building process, reports UNB.
"It's our responsibility to inform the new generation about the contributions of this noble woman (Fazilatunnesa)," the President said when a nine-member delegation of Bangamata Parishad Bangladesh, led by its acting president Prof Dr Sultana Shafi, met him at Bangabhaban.
The other members of the delegation were Bangamata Parishad general secretary journalist M Anisur Rahman and presidium panel members Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique and Prof Dr Durga Das Bhattacharya and general secretary of Bangladesh Economic Association Prof Dr Abul Barakat.
During the meeting, President Zillur recalled that Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib was always beside the Father of the Nation in various movements and encouraged and inspired him.
Paying tributes to Bangabandhu and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the President said their contributions would ever remain written in golden letters in Bangladesh history.
