Fazlul Karim made acting CJ

Justice Mohammad Fazlul Karim, the senior most judge of the Appellate Division of Supreme Court, will act as Chief Justice in absence of Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin from September 8 to 16 or until he resumes his duties. The President entrusted Justice Fazlul Karim with the charge of carrying out the responsibility of the Chief Justice under powers conferred on him by Article 97 of the Constitution, said a handout Monday. —UNB
