FBCCI chief leaves for Swaziland to attend policy makers’ meet

President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Mir Nasir Hossain left Dhaka for Swaziland Saturday to attend a four-day conference there, said a press release.
The conference organised by the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (TRAPCA) titled "Multilateral, Regional 'and Bilateral Trade Agreements: Emerging Scenarios and Challenges for African and Least-Developed Countries" began Sunday and continue until Wednesday.
The TRAPCA organised the conference for high level policy makers including ministers and permanent secretaries, negotiators involved in multilateral, inter regional, regional and bilateral trade negotiations, academics and private sector and civil society representatives from Africa and least developed countries (LDCs).
After the conference, the FBCCI chief will lead a business and investment delegation to Oman during November 10-12 on an invitation from Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Bangladesh Embassy in Oman.
The main purpose of the visit is to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
The FBCCI delegation is expected to meet with ministers concerned, private sector leaders and the members of the Oman chamber.
The FBCCI president is expected to return Dhaka on November 12.
