FBCCI, EBF to co-operate on trade, investment, manufacturing

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the European Bangladesh Federation of Commerce and Industry (EBF) will co-operate in the areas of trade and investment, banking and finance, industry, health and education, manufacturing etc.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two trade bodies was signed at a city hotel Saturday.
FBCCI President Annisul Huq and EBF Joint Presidents Wali Tasar Uddin and Fred Oldenhuizing on behalf of their respective side signed the memorandum.
Under the agreement, both parties will exchange information and publications and assist the enterprises of each other to invest on their own or jointly.
The agreement also covers establishing and strengthening business contacts through holding conferences, seminars, study tours etc.
The secretarial function of the meetings will be performed in Bangladesh by FBCCI and in EU countries by EBF.
Former FBCCI president Nasir Hossain and FBCCI First Vice-President Abul Kashem Ahmed attended the programme.
