FBCCI pleads for better airport services

Bangladesh can be a significant tourism destination by improving its airport services, a city meeting observed.
It also stressed the need for improving both flight services and efficiency of the airports.
A lot of tourists and businessmen will visit the country if the airport service can be developed.
The observations came at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) relating to the tourism and civil aviation sector held at the FBCCI Ballroom in the capital Sunday.
Director in- charge of the committee Ms Shomi Kaiser chalked out the detailed plan of the committee to identify the problems of civil aviation and tourism sector and also the airport service and to work for solving those.
Chairman of the committee Taufiq Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting. FBCCI Vice President Md. Muntakim Ashraf was also present.
Representatives from different private airlines of the country, among others, were present at the meeting.
