FBCCI suggests restructuring of Bangladesh Tourism Board

FE Report Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has made a five-point suggestion including re-structuring of Bangladesh Tourism Board for the development of country's tourism sector, a press release said. FBCCI has made the suggestion from a meeting held at a hotel at Cox's Bazar, organised by the standing committee on tourism and hospitality services of FBCCI and Cox's Bazar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Saturday. In the meeting Federation leaders discussed various problems of the country's tourism industry and made the suggestions for solving them. The other suggestions include making a list of the spots that have been declared as tourist spot by the government and making a team including members from local administration, local people, NGOs, women organisations, and members from the media. Besides, the business leaders have also suggested making a realistic plan to save Cox's Bazar from harmful activities like construction of illegal structures and establishments. They also suggested that the government provide more assistance to private entrepreneurs for establishing new sea-resorts. First Vice President of FBCCI Jasim Uddin was present at the meeting, among others.
