FBCCI's survey on light engineering, agro goods begins

NILPHAMARI, Aug 13: Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has recently launched a survey on three sectors of some northern districts on light engineering products, agricultural products and agro-processing and in-depth analysis of price dynamic of essential commodities.
The initiative is one of the components of their project titled 'Strengthening of FBCCI Research Base', sources said.
Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Abdul Wahed Sarker said the outcome of the study of the first two sectors mentioned above is to help the policymakers to take appropriate measures for improvement of the sectors while the outcome of the study on prices of essential commodities is to help policymakers to take appropriate measures to control price hike.
The FBCCI appointed MIDAS a renowned research and consulting organisation to conduct the study, sources added.
