FDI, loans worth $85m okayed

Five investment proposals totaling US$85.85 million were approved Monday by the 54th meeting of the Scrutiny Committee on Private Sector Investment under foreign loanssuppliers credits. Chaired by Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Prime Minister's Office, Board of Investment (BoI), and ministries of finance, commerce and industries, said a BB press release. The meeting approved the allocation of US$0.572 million for Ms Mundipharma (Bangladesh) Pvt Ltd, $60.0 million for Orascom Teleccommunication Ltd, $7.0 million for Pran Dairy Ltd, $7.0 for Ms Yagi Bangladesh Garments Ltd and $11.30 million for Ms Crystal Industrial Bangladesh Pvt Ltd, it added. - FE Report
