FE journo gets media award

A journalist of The Financial Express (FE), Sajibur Rahman, has won the prestigious NIMC (National Institute of Mass Communication) Media Award-2022.
A total of 20 journalists from different media organisations received the award at a ceremony held at its auditorium on Sunday evening.
The NIMC, for the first time, has launched this award in association with the Cabinet Division, European Union (EU) and British Council. Earlier, the NIMC nominated a total of 20 journalists for the award in three categories such as print, video and audio.
The NIMC in a circular announced the call for news contents on five tools like National Integrity Strategy, Right to Information Act, Service Delivery Commitment, Grievance Redress System and Annual Performance Agreement.
Out of the 20 people selected for the award, seven journalists, including Sajibur Rahman, were awarded in the print section. Apart from this, four journalists were awarded in the video category and nine in the audio category. The awards were given under Platforms for Dialogue project (P4D).
Chaired by NIMC director general Shahin Islam, the function was addressed by secretary, coordination & reforms of Cabinet Division Md Samsul Arefin, first secretary, team leader-EHD & PFM of European Union Bangladesh Hans Lambreacht and Country Director of British Council, Bangladesh Tom Miscioscia.
