FE launches its new website

The Financial Express launched Sunday its new website, www.fe-bd.com.
On an average, 150,000 readers now visit the web edition of the Financial Express everyday. With the launching of the new website, the number of visits is expected to go up further.
However, the same website would also be reachable from the old address
www.thefinancialexpress-bd.com.
Renowned IT farm Orangebd.com has developed the website.
The redesigned website was formally launched at a function in the city. Editor of The Financial Express Moazzem Hossain unveiled the new website at a function.
Orangebd.com directors Ashraful Kabir Jewel and Javed Ahmed presented the new design at the function. Managing director of Orangebd.com Mr. Rezaul Haque was also present.
The revamped website, which is faster and more user friendly would feature daily online poll for the readers.
Readers will also be able to see screen shots of every day issue of the newspaper. At the same time, it would also offer daily photo gallery of everyday news on the website.
Among other major developments, the website would now be regularly updated with the latest hourly news.
The archive of the website has also got extended. Now, it would feature category, wise archive retrieval options through which page wise retrieval of the old issues of the newspaper from the smart archiving options would be possible.
Visitors will also be able to find the most read news, listen to the online BBC radio and watch news video clips of different television channels. Additionally, it would have feature links to You tube and Facebook.
Speaking on the occasion, Editor of The Financial Express Moazzem Hossain said, "The significant popularity of the FE website provides the testimony to our highly sophisticated readership base" adding, "Soon, we will launch an online version of the newspaper".
Executive Editor of FE Shahiduzzaman Khan, Deputy Editor Shamsul Huq Zahid, Executive Director Abdul Momen and General Manager Atiur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
