Female cop crushed under train in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, July 6 (UNB): A policewoman was crushed to death under a train at Kishoreganj Railway Station on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ajufa Khatun, 38, sub-inspector of Gazipur district court. She hailed from Gujadia village in Karimganj upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Government Railway Police Station Nazrul Islam said the Dhaka-bound train, 'Egarsindhur Express', from Kishoreganj hit Ajufa at the station around 6:45am as she tried to get up into the moving train, leaving her dead on the spot.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Kishoreganj 250-bed Hospital morgue for autopsy. A UD case was filed.
