Female cop \\\'gang-raped\\\' in city

A female police constable who was gang-raped allegedly by her ex-husband and his five associates in Khilgoan area of Dhaka city was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical test on Saturday. Inspector Mozammel Haque, in-charge of Dhaka medical College Police camp, said the 24-year-old police constable of Turag Police station alleged that she was gang-raped in a house on June 11. She said she and her husband assistant sub-inspector Kalimur Rahman got divorced a year back following a family feud and they had a daughter. She filed a case against Kalimur after the divorce. The victim said she was admitted to Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital on June 10 for her gynecological problem from where her ex-husband tactfully took her to a house in Khilgaon area. And Kalimur and his five friends raped her overnight, she alleged. The woman lodged a complaint with Khilgaon Police Station on the same day. Later, police admitted the victim to the DMCH around 12am on Saturday, according to UNB.
