Female patient commits suicide

Police has found a dead woman, hanging from a window of a toilet at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Police said that Sakhina Begum, 35, under treatment at the hospital’s Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit since March 10, was found dead around 5.30 am on Wednesday. DMCH police outpost's inspector Mozammel Haque said that patients informed the police when they found her hanging and dead. The Unit’s resident physician Partha Sankar Paul said that she had committed suicide by hanging herself from a window. "Shakhina had wounds on her back from cancer. She was supposed to have a minor surgery on Wednesday," he said, according to bdnews24.com.
