Female student of DU abducted

A female student of Dhaka University (DU) has been ‘abducted’ from Itahata area in Gazipur district. Mother of the victim lodged a complaint with the Joydebpur Police Station, accusing 9-10 people. She identified six of them. According to her statement, one young man, from Naojor area, had been stalking her daughter for the last one year. She alleged that her daughter was abducted by the stalker and his associates on Thursday while she was on her way to home from Dhaka. ASI of Joydebpur Police Station Shafikul Islam said, ‘Police detained a Naojor resident Abul Hashem, 50, and his son Nazmul Islam, 26, for interrogation.’ Police is continuing the search operation. The abducted student lives with her family in Gazipur's Itahata area. She is a 1st year student of Political Science at DU, according to bdnews24.com.
