Female UZ vice-chairman dies

KHULNA, Apr 25: Female vice-chairman of Dighalia upazila Kohinoor Begum who was injured in a road accident Wednesday died at a local hospital Friday afternoon.
Doctors declared Kohinoor, also women affairs secretary of district BNP, dead at Gazi Medical College Hospital in the city around 2:30pm, according to a news agency.
The female upazila vice-chairman fell off the bike onto the road island and received injuries to the head after the motorcycle hit a cow at Kulibagan under Doulatpur Police Station.
She was whisked off to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Later, she was shifted to Gazi Medical College Hospital where she was kept on life support at the CCU.
Doctors at the hospital declared her dead around 2:30pm today.
She will be buried Sunday, said family sources.
