Lowly Soccer Club, Feni forced giant killer Brothers Union Club to 1-1 draw in the only match of Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city on Monday, reports UNB.
The Gopibagh-based Brothers Union Club, which came to the limelight upsetting defending champions Sheikh Russell KC by 1-0 goal in the 3rd round match, secured seven points from six matches while Soccer Club, Feni bagged only two points, also from six outings.
Sayed Rashid Turjo put Soccer Club, Feni ahead in the 61st minute placing the ball over onrushing Brothers Union goalie Mohammad Sujon, utilizing a through pass from midfielder Rony Islam (1-0).
Medio Faisal levelled the margin for Brothers Union in the 71st minute by a left-footed placing shot after dodging past opponent defender, capitalizing on a Rubel Miah chip (1-1).
A few minutes later, Brothers Union managed a good chance but their Nigerian forward Kestor Akon missed the target
