Ferry services on Maowa-Kawrakandi route remain suspended

MUNSHIGANJ, Dec 26 (UNB): Ferry services on Maowa-Kawrakandi route on the river Padma remained suspended since early Friday due to dense fog.
BIWTC sources said four ferries with a large number of vehicles got stranded in the mid-river.
The ferries could not operate until 8:30 am.
Manager of BIWTC at Maowa, said the ferries could not be operated due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
So, A huge traffic jam was created on both sides of the route, causing untold sufferings to the passengers.
