FF Abul Kashem dies

Freedom Fighter Colonel (retd) Abul Kashem died at Combined Military Hospital in the city on Tuesday while undergoing treatment, says a press release.
He was laid to eternal rest with state honours at Banani Military Graveyard in the city on Wednesday after namaz-e-janazas at Dhaka CMH Mosque and Sukrabad Mosque.
Abul Kashem was born at Gazipur village in Muradnagar upazila of Cumilla on June 30, 1948.
He took part in the Liberation War in 1971 when he was a final year student of Dhaka Medical College.
He left behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
