Field visit on 'Feasibility study of IoT-based agriculture'

A field visit and a seminar on 'Feasibility study of the IoT-Based precision agriculture for sustainable crop production in Bangladesh' was held at BARI in Gazipur on Tuesday.
The event was held as part of a project that investigates the feasibility of IoT- and AI-based agriculture implementation, says a press release.
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) and Nodes Digital Limited have been implementing the project since 2021.
Dr S M Bokhtiar, Executive Chairman, BARC, was the chief guest at the event and expressed his satisfaction at the implementation of the project. Dr Debasish Sarker, DG of BARI, chaired the event. Nodes Digital Ltd, the technology partner in the project, was represented by its founders Dr. Saad Hasan, Shafkat Reza Chowdhury, Dr Rashedul Hoque and IoT consultant Dr Tanseer Ali.
Dr Nazmun Karim, project coordinator from BARC (CSO-Agricultural Engineering), briefed the guests on the success of the project and appreciated Nodes Digital Limited for its continuous innovation in pioneering IoT and AI-based Agriculture in Bangladesh.
