FIFA confirms Barisal Football Academy

Finally the much awaited the construction work of FIFA-funded football training academy in Barisal will start next month, reports BSS.
A Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) source confirmed the agency that the FIFA development officer Mosin Gilani handed over work order to Modern Builders Saturday.
FIFA will provide $2.5 lakh for the construction from its Tsunami fund. However, the consultancy fee will cost the BFF $12,500 means it has to be deducted from the total allocation.
The world football authority FIFA is expected to send the final documents to BFF within this month enabling the Modern Builders to begin the work. The project is expected to be finished within nine to ten months.
