Fifteen injured in terrorist attacks

MUNSHIGANJ, Mar 1 (UNB): Angry at the refusal of paying toll, terrorists attacked the house of an expatriate at Shiloi village in Sadar Upazila, leaving 15 people injured Friday and Saturday.

The victim expatriate Shamsul Islam Tara said a gang of terrorists led by Ripon Molla demanded Tk 100,000 from him as toll.

The thugs attacked his house with lethal weapons and beat up five family members on Friday as he refused to meet their demand. They also ransacked four dwelling houses of Tara.

Shamsul Islam on the same day filed a case with local police which angered them very much. Later, again they attacked his house Saturday leaving 10 more of his relatives injured and looted valuables.

The terrorists also threatened for dire consequences if he moved further against them.
