Fighting loneliness
Friday, 2 September 2022
Loneliness is an abstract concept. It cannot be seen or touched, but its consequences could be deadly. It can make people mentally broken. Those who feel loneliness face a number of psychological issues. There are many people around them, yet they seem to be very lonely. They consider this problem their failure. According to research, one of the main causes of loneliness is the variety of events during adolescence and young adulthood. There are various reasons behind this. The causes that can cause loneliness include illness, family problems, the death of a loved one, or suffering from various inconsistencies or social harassment.
Loneliness is neither common nor a matter of joke. Rather, we have to give enough attention to it. Friends, family members, or loved ones should stand by the person who is suffering from loneliness. If unchecked, it can create a number of mental diseases including depression and dementia. It can even instigate one to commit suicide. To get rid of this problem, we have to keep ourselves busy with positive activities. We have to take help from psychiatrists if necessary. We have to be realistic instead of being emotional. Regular religious practice can also keep us free from various unwanted stresses.
