A celebrated film actress of 1970's Zobaida Katun Kobita died of a heart attack in her residence at Rupnagar of city's Mirpur Friday morning, family sources said, reports BSS.
She was 60.
She is survived by her husband, two sons and one daughter, relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
Kobita was one of the most famed actresses of post-independent Bangladesh who had to her credit lead female role in dozens of box office hit films.
Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad Friday expressed deep shock at the death of noted film actress Zobeda Khatun Kobita.
In a message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
